There are so many facets to all of this, I wanted to get it in one place to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. It should be noted however, I have over two years of experience with S3D, and only a few weeks on Slic3r, but so many of the concepts of the software overlap, I feel I have a pretty good grasp of it.įinally, why am I writing this? It’s taken quite a while to do all the research! Mainly for myself actually: I wanted to get all my research down on paper to see if I should make a slicer switch or not. This is not a post designed to bash Simplif圓D and espouse the values of some other slicer: My goal is to make it an honest comparison of the two software. And there’s a good chance someone out there is going to disagree with my findings : That’s great, I’d like to hear your perspective, leave a comment below. I know that slicer software is like religion, politics, and CAD software: People can get very attached to them. I thought I should revisit what slicer software 2017 has available.
